Ingredients
Lentil and Spinach Dal
1 onion
2-3 cloves garlic
1 1/2 cup red lentils or yellow split peas (sometimes I do half and half)
3 cups water
2-3 tomatoes (usually Roma)
Spinach (~ 3 cups? A lot cause it cooks down)
Cilantro
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp coriander
1 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp cayenne or chili
(All spices can be doubled for more flavour)
